Children aged from 6 to 14 years-old will be able to catch a rainbow trout at the hatchery’s specially designed fish-out pond.
For many children, this will be their first trout fishing experience and with expert tuition from members of the Rotorua Anglers Association, they’re guaranteed to catch a trout that can be taken home for dinner!
A sausage sizzle and drinks are available. Fish filleting for a gold coin donation is also available.
Catch a tagged trout from the pond win a spin rod and reel combo kindly supplied by sponsor Kilwell.
Important information:
- Bookings essential.
- The event is strictly for children aged between 6 and 14 years.
- A $5 donation is requested to help run this event. Please bring cash as EFTPOS is not available.
- All fishing equipment is provided. Do not bring fishing equipment.
- Expert tuition and one-on-one help is provided for each child. Everyone catches a fish.
