Biosecurity Alert for Lake Namunamu

Hornwort has recently been discovered in the lake.

Hornwort has the potential to significantly reduce the value of the lake to fishers and other lake users.

A number of organisations are working together to assess how much is present and then what can be done to remove it before growth accelerates and makes control too difficult.

Please ensure any gear arriving and leaving the lake is clean and or dry – i.e. follow the Check Clean and Dry protocols.
