Weed spraying programme for Rotorua lakes

We have been been advised that Boffa Miskell have begun their annual weed spraying programme in the Rotorua lakes.

The notice is shown below for your information: 

Aquatic weed spraying in the Rotorua lakes is planned to commence next Monday, 4 December.  The following sites are scheduled to be treated from a boat with diquat in gel form:

1. Lake Rotorua – Kawaha Point
2. Lake Rotoiti – Gisborne Point
3. Lake Rotoiti – Te Ruato Bay
4. Lake Rotoiti – Okawa Bay
5. Lake Rotoiti – Whangamoa Drive
6. Lake Rotoiti – Te Ti Bay
7. Lake Rotoiti – Ōkere Inlet
8. Lake Rotoiti – Kakaho Bay
9. Lake Rotoiti – Te Ārero Bay
10. Lake Tarawera – Boat Shed Bay
11. Lake Tarawera – Kōtukutuku Bay/The Landing
12. Lake Tarawera – Stoney Point
13. Lake Tarawera – Otumutu Lagoon/Humphries Bay
14. Lake Ōkareka – Boyes Beach
15. Lake Ōkareka – Acacia Bay
