Women on the Fly NZ - Special Invitation
- Nelson/Marlborough
- 26/03/2024
This is a special invitation to a 'ladies only' evening, to meet and listen to Leigh Johnson, founder of Women on the Fly New Zealand. This is a fun social event for anyone who is interested in fly-fishing in New Zealand ... whether you are an experienced angler or a beginner.
When: April 4th, 2024 at 7 PM
Where: Nelson-Marlborough Fish & Game Rooms Champion Rd, Richmond.
Leigh founded Women on The Fly NZ in response to the under-representation of women in fly-fishing. WoTF is New Zealand's best-connected community for women who fly fish ... dedicated to enriching women's lives, emphasising the benefits to mental, physical, and social well-being, and fostering respect for our natural environment.
The goal of Women on The Fly NZ is to be 'by women, for women', and provides a supportive space for women to develop their skills and find their place in the world of freshwater angling. WoTF connects anglers, hosts events, and promotes women-led initiatives through collaboration, building skills and confidence for everyone from curious beginners to experienced enthusiasts.
The journey of Women on The Fly NZ is a collective one, shaped by the enthusiasm of its members and the support of industry stakeholders. Hundreds of women from across New Zealand connect through a private Facebook group, public Facebook page, and Instagram.
