Winter Angling Firing Up!

The days are getting shorter and the temperatures are falling... but the fishing is still absolutely firing!      

Now that we're close to spawning season, anglers can expect the angling action to heat up. 

As well as being in prime condition at this time of year, trout get very territorial and this can turn the advantage to the angler as they strike aggressively at lures and flies. Arguably it's the most exciting time to be on the water!

Don’t hang up the gear just yet. The Wellington Fish & Game region has so many top quality winter waters open anglers are spoilt choice!
