Both Barrels June 2020
- Eastern
- 11/06/2020
As predicted the opening of the game bird season in the Eastern Region was a bit hit and miss.
Although the hunter survey results are not in yet, it appears that a few hunters have done well and the rest of us have struggled.
A number of ponds were still dry forcing hunters to find alternative spots that were often sub-par.
Nevertheless, most hunters we spoke to were having a good time.
Some, including myself, could have done a lot better if we had been able to shoot straight.
Just a quick reminder for those wanting to hunt the reserves we manage you can obtain a walk-in permit by phoning the office.
Also remember to report your band (07-357-5501).Or click here to do it online.
We don’t need the band to be returned you can hold on to it (some hunters collect them on their caller lanyard).
Band returns are an important part of setting season regulations.
The higher the reporting rate the less conservative we need to be when setting season regulations.
